The Companion G2 is an evolution of the original Companion, a small 200W charge case capable of running on AC and DC power.  The G2 update brings an even smaller form factor (Nanuk 903 vs 904 of the original Companion), a new charger with more features and higher maximum current, a refined look and thermal design, and two parallel output ports.

In addition, The Companion G2 now comes in two versions:  One that runs on AC and DC just like the original, as well as a new battery-only powered version for completely portable charging!

This is the AC/DC Version: It has a built in power supply and a XT60 DC input, and the power switch is toggled up or down to choose between AC or DC power.   This means you can charge off of AC when you are somewhere with grid power, and off of an external power source such as deep cycle batteries or solar when AC is not available.

Full Features/Specs:

Nanuk 903 Hard Case, IP67 Waterproof + Dustproof
Nanuk Hard Cases are renowned for being extremely robust, resistant to wear and tear, and long lasting, and with the built-in screw holes, they are extremely well suited to being used for charge cases.

Optimized for High Power Density (Small Case, Big Power)
We pack as much power as we reasonably can into our charge cases.  By utilizing the interior lid space with a unique 3D printed riser-style deck instead of having a simple flat panel deck, we can squeeze bigger power supplies and bigger chargers into our cases.  The main tradeoff is the lack of storage space - you will need to find somewhere else to put your power cord and charge leads.  For most people, this is only a mild tradeoff, as we already bring other tool/field boxes to the field anyway.

Easily Switchable AC or DC Power
The Companion (AC/DC Version) has a built in power switch to choose between AC, DC, or OFF.  This should only be done while the charger is not actively charging.  You can feed any DC power into the input - whether it's a spare LiPo you have, a club field solar battery setup, another charge case's DC output, your car battery, or any other DC source up to 28V.  Note that input voltages under ~20V will reduce the maximum output power capability due to the charger's input current limit of 12A.

ToolKitRC M7 200W Smart Charger
The ToolKitRC M7 charger used in the Companion charge case is a tiny but mighty smart charger capable of delivering up to 200W @ 10A of charging power.  When running on a battery in DC mode, it can also be used to recycle power - you can discharge unused packs into the input battery.  The DC input of this charger is configured by us to default to 6s LiPo min/max voltages - min 21.5V max 25.2V - with Recycle mode enabled.  You may change these manually if desired, but the defaults are safe for regular 6s LiPos.

Delta Electronics 240W Power Supply for Reliable & Clean Power
When the Companion is running in AC mode, this high quality power supply will supply the charger with up to 240W of clean power.  The power supply is tuned up to 27V instead of the default 24V to increase efficiency when charging 6s LiPos.

Dual XT60 Output Connectors for Simplified Charging
The Companion G2 has two outputs, put together in series.  This means you can charge two batteries at the same time without needing an external parallel adapter.  The JST ports are de-keyed so that you can plug any cell count from 2s-6s into them.

Be aware that because every case is made to order and often customized in several ways, the photos may not perfectly reflect what you get, including not only colors but USB module versions, different inlet styles, and different availability of various components.

We do not keep stock of cases nor components.  Due to the low order volume of charge cases, each case is built individually to order.  This allows easy customization requests and changes to the case design.  Due to the MTO nature of charge cases, there can be up to a 1 month lead time before shipping after you place your order, especially with more complex customizations like component substitutions.  There is a $200 order cancellation fee if you decide you do not want the case after your order is placed.  NO EXCEPTIONS
